We Are One Southeast Chicago an organization of seniors who donate their time and talents for the well being of a healthy Interdependent community because it takes a Village to raise a sustainability peaceful neighborhood. Our policy is that seniors are tolls of wisdom. We utilize the Juneteenth theme to bring all these point together.

Join the Atlas Village Interdependent Collaborative (VIC) working with isolated seniors in the southeast region.  We plan to do everything we can to reach out and share resources in the Greater Southeast Chicago community, specifically for isolated seniors. 

 

Promotional material will be going to the printer soon. We want to make sure we include your organizations logo so if you haven’t already submitted your vendor or sponsorship form please do so before the meeting.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS | June 19th, 2018 

 

Atlas VIC Kick Off: 

The Kick Off will inform the community on the mission of the Atlas VIC, make the community a Stakeholder, provide health information/screenings. Moreover it helps each committee and its members build a bond toward being a powerful tool to providing service and information to seniors.

Atlas Garden & Landscape:  

The unveiling of Atlas VIC Community Senior Garden Landscaping. It is our plan to make the Atlas Regional center a landscaping beauty in Southeast Chicago. Currently we have the master Gardener (Gregory Bratton, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2GdwRiy2bU) but are currently seeking sponsors to underwrite the project which will include clean up and beautifying southeast Chicago senior’s homes.

Safe and Peaceful Summer 2018: 

June 19th is also the 1st day of summer vacation. At our senior sponsored events we ask that all participants include in their activities the message of senior respect, seniors as a tool for wisdom, senior safety and intergenerational community pride. This endeavor will promote peace, build trust and strengthen intergenerational relationships among our Southeast community.
